2Meet Safely in Public

For in-person exchanges, choose open and public locations. Bring a companion if possible, and avoid meeting in isolated areas. Always inspect the item thoroughly before making any payment.

3Use Secure Communication

Keep conversations within the platform until you trust the seller. Avoid sharing sensitive personal details such as bank information, ID numbers, or private addresses unless absolutely necessary for the transaction.

• Never share bank account details or OTPs with sellers
• Avoid sharing your home address until you trust the seller
• Keep early conversations on WhatsApp or within the listing
• Screenshot conversations in case of disputes

4Check Product Condition

Before handing over money, confirm that the item works as described. Test electronics, verify authenticity for branded products, and examine items for defects. Buyers are responsible for confirming the condition at the time of purchase.

5Avoid Advance Payments

Do not send deposits, partial payments, or full amounts before seeing the item. Fraudulent listings often ask for advance transfers. Cash or verified payment methods during the exchange are always safer.

• Be suspicious of any seller asking for upfront bank transfers

6Report Suspicious Activity

If you notice misleading ads, fake profiles, or unusual behaviour, report it immediately through Hufy. The platform may take action against accounts that violate policies or pose risks to users.

• Use the Report button on any suspicious listing
• Contact support if you suspect fraud or abuse
• Do not engage further with sellers who seem deceptive

7Transactions Are Buyer–Seller Only

Hufy does not inspect items, guarantee quality, or get involved in disputes. Buyers must make informed decisions and complete transactions at their own discretion. All dealings are directly between buyer and seller.

8Stay Alert and Trust Your Instincts

If something feels off — price too good, seller too pushy, unclear answers — walk away. Your safety is more important than any deal. There are always more listings; your wellbeing is irreplaceable.
