How Hufy collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information.
Hufy collects information you provide directly, including your name, contact details, location, and listing content. When you browse or use the platform, we may also collect device details, IP addresses, usage patterns, and cookies to improve functionality and safety.
Your information is used to operate the marketplace, enable communication, improve user experience, prevent fraud, enforce policies, and provide customer support. We may use analytics to understand platform performance, personalise results, and enhance security.
Hufy does not sell user data. Information may be shared only when necessary — such as with buyers or sellers during a transaction, with service providers that support operations, or with legal authorities when required by law. Any shared data is limited to what is essential for the specific purpose.
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Users may update or edit their profile details, modify listings, or delete their accounts at any time. You may manage cookie preferences through your browser. Requests related to data access or removal can be raised through the support section.
Hufy implements reasonable security measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorized access or misuse. Passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing and are never stored in plain text. While we take steps to protect user information, no online platform can guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention: Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Listing photos and ad content are retained for up to 90 days after expiry. If you request account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian financial regulations. OTP codes expire within 10 minutes and are not stored after verification.
Listings or ads may contain links to external websites or WhatsApp conversations. Hufy is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites or communications. Users are encouraged to review their policies independently.
The platform is not intended for users under 18 years of age. Hufy does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has registered, the account will be removed promptly. Parents or guardians who believe a minor has registered should contact us immediately.
This policy may be revised periodically to reflect new features, legal requirements, or security updates. Continued use of the platform after updates are posted indicates acceptance of the revised version. We will notify registered users of significant changes via in-app notifications.
